In much less than a day it is erected. Steel beams and bolts and swinging chairs with chains, and all over flashing lights and an engine to give life to all.

Then in the afternoon it comes to life swinging round through the starkness and ugliness of a sunlit carnival. But in the night it is all a blur of motion through the darkness and flashing lights. For less than two ecstatic minutes it swings wide and fast round and round.

Lights flash and voices laugh and scream and shriek. And around and around it goes.

Music: “I’ll Fly Away,” Albert E. Brumley. Played on a Martin Orchestra Model Cutaway Guitar. Garageband.
